Closing the Digital Divide: Competence Development in AT and Accessibility

Competences are key for digital participation. Both persons that meet accessibility challenges, as well as their support workers and educating professionals, need competences to allow for effective and meaningful participation of all in digital environments. For this session we are looking for contributions that are based on the systematic development of AT and accessibility competences, including competency frameworks, learning programmes, inclusive certification practices, etc. Where possible data should be provided about the effectiveness of the proposed solutions. Contributions investigating the actual dimensions of the digital divide, including the causes, are welcome as well.

PLEASE NOTE: The ENTELIS network is organising a workshop in the Inclusion Forum where more practical and hand on work can be presented. If that is of your interest you are invited to contact the chairs as well.
